Dharma School
Sundays 9:45 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
For children who are interested in learning the basics of Buddhism, mindfulness, and Zen practice.
Dharma School is suspended during retreats and ceremonies. For dates and times when it is suspended, check here.
Located on the second floor of the Zen Center, we teach mindfulness, meditation, and introductory elements of the Buddhist path. Our structured program provides children with a language for articulating what they feel, a framework for understanding their experiences, and a method for expanding on their natural spiritual gifts.
Our curriculum has five units: meditation, kindness, ethics, character, and service. Each class contains activities, stories, guided meditations, and games, each focusing on the day’s lessons.
Contact us by email a few days ahead if it’s your child’s first time.
All children must be potty trained and able to sit quietly for five minutes. Recommended for ages 5-12.
If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help with Dharma School, email us.
